everquest LDoN

so anita and i made some new chars, textcopied 'em over to test, along with grunhorn and rikriki, and we set off to farm enough plat to run our mercs. what'd happened was as the transfer took place all our financial assets were removed from our copied chars leaving us penniless to pay for the merc costs. this more or less paralyzes us until we manage to farm the cash for the higher levels. just as well as im more or less just interested in the lower ones for this one. the idea is two chars apiece, one on FV and the other on test, giving us the options of droppable gear or double xp. both sound pretty good to me heh. you could say fironia vie has the strongest bazaar in the game, and test has the shortest delay between levels. both very strong selling points.

so we headed over to ldon after doing our /testbuff, earning about 150 plat to cover the mercs initial & supplemental costs, and we headed over to everfrost as i'd remembered it rather good cash our first time through on the lvl 61 chars. unfortunately this go around the payout wasnt naerly so strong but yet there still were some good items & drops to be had. i'd chosen an enchanter for this round, and anita a necromancer, so we'd each had a pet plus the merc we'd hired and the sight was impressive 6 bodies running around stemming from two real players. lessons were fired and we easily rocketed up from 25 to 29. and this was on a normal setting LDoN. if i remember right the xp is even higher from the hard's. then after, we'd headed over to the Overthere, this's the 35 hot zone of the moment. here i pulled out the... steadfast servant and anita did the same, one of the perks of the test server being full veteran aa's. so that immediately kicked us both to about 39 each. sick heh.

but i'll definately say there's limited joy in repeatedly leveling up again & again. it's moreso fun to stick with one and work those to the top, than anything else. found this to be true in oblivion as well. like, i'd had a grunhorn (as well) on oblivion and he was about level 16 or so? then i made a second char... and immediately i was struck by the been there-done that factor. seems like alot of these games are fun to play through once and thats it.
