oblivion: critically flawed & terribly addictive

so im sitting here after having spent the ENTIRE day on oblivion. here's my feedback. so there's alot of things about oblivion that're neat. the whole alchemy thing. the make-your-own-class thing. these are all neat. but then there's the whole fact that its a very small world. add in the about twenty or so crashes, the shitty graphics given the laptop i'm running this on, and it's really fuckin annoyin. but that's not enough to deter me from playin. yet. i'm kinda dedicated when it comes to shit like this. if something fucks up my pc i hop right back on it real soon.

but yeah, i've been developing my char & shit. more or less doing my own thing, floating along - i did the digital download of all the xpacs boxed together, good stuff, deeds & shit. at least, i was doing my own thing, until the damned oblivion gate showed up on my city, where i was meant to do some quest. i was happy fucking with the thieves guild and all that shit, and while like, all those quests and shit, they were fun, i'm sayin this shit just doesn't seem fuckin right. i mean first off, the shits way too fuckin hard. i've got this pet, right? doesn't do shit. then the weapons? hardly fuckin touchin the guys. and my hps? just drop like a rock. im spamming potions, spamming heals, meanwhile the fucking dudes im meant to protect are just running right out into the mobs. fuckin rediculous. i mean the fuckin AI scripting is dumb as fuck. i can stand behind people while sneaking & pull of heists of shit that's right in front of their fuckin eyes. hows that for bad fuckin codin. so that's AI, then more AI, and then that whack ass gate. i went through that, it dawned on me about an HOUR into the damn thing that it was more or less a fuckin city. i mean it was cool i guess, in an ultra-difficult shits-going-to-hell kinda way. but i mean it wasnt the same pace of the rest of the shit. it totally interupted my shit with the thieves guild. let alone the fighers & mages that i had my eye on, as well as those more obscure factions that keep presenting themselves.

the mages tower was nice, and the thieves den was pretty sick. i went on a theft spree to be able to spruce the place up. after a 5k investment, you get 2k a week more or less for the rest of the game. well worth it. pays itself off after the third time with 1k bonus. probably one of the coolest things in the game. the thief guidl thing has been awesome. sneaking around. like more or less 007 style. & i'm digging the whole robin hood vibe that the theives guild has, rob from the rich & feed the poor.

but yeah, that all got interupted by the gate. by my measure it coulda already been there, i just never camea cross it. but when i had a quest just north of the town, it brought me to the scene, and thats where i was immediately prompted with the idea to go in and shut it off. what a long ass tedious process that was. imean first you click in, and then there's the fucking vines that beat your ass when you try to harvest them. and the fucking lava, which of course the dude who i was meant to fucking work WITH falls right into. fuckin rediculous. the weapon kept on breaking apart.
