warrior / ranger

so i'm off with anita, she's made a necromancer soon to be mesmer. so that's neat. i'm running a warrior ranger. kinda nice. i can swap to bowing, and let the pet tank whilst i damage from afar and adding in the summoned imp for damage. nice because it gives you a reprieve from tanking but you can still do that if you're into it or you have to. warriors are nice with the innate bonus on armor but they also have less mana regen so you have to be strategic about what abilities you use. as far as im concerned the pet is a good pick for the warrior as its a passive skill that adds dps. so it makes you as a warrior better on the whole. passive dps is always good, and if you can it without a single swing of your weapon then thats a good thing. the pre-cataclysm area is pretty neat, considering the whole map undergoes a change-over after the char overun the city. its kinda cool in that sense. but yeah... last time we barreled through and didn't explore pre cataclysm as much. this time i'm taking my time. level 6 and still exploring the nooks and crannies of whats there. reminds me in a way of zelda 64 with how the zones weren't all that large but you were happy to go and look through them anyway. also of note, EQ2 reactivated but seldom played.
